Ans:
If brake works unnormal, because the brake is controlled by relay. We supposed maybe the relay is damaged. Please measure the relay if power is normal 220V under ram running. If relay is damaged to cause brake no power. Then you will need to replace a new relay.

- The other way for you to adjust the gap of brake motor at suitable gap (clearance) to resolve the motor noise. You could follow below video to adjust the suitable gap and mount the brake motor back to see if machine will work normally.
